The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Area Council Election was successfully held on Saturday, 21 February 2026. The election was to elect six council Chairpersons and 62 Councillors. These positions were across the six area councils of the FCT — Abaji, AMAC, Bwari, Gwagwalada, Kuje, and Kwali.
