Death and Funeral of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi
Ebrahim Raisolsadati was of a Persian origin. He was born on 14 December 1960 and died on Sunday the 19th of May 2024 and was popularly known as Ebrahim Raisi.
The death of Iranian President, Ebrahim Raisi, has raised many questions and concerns given the circumstances surrounding the crash of his helicopter on Sunday the 19th of May, 2024. The crash occurred near the border with Azerbaijan. Raisi died at the age of 63 and was widely seen as the most qualified successor of 85-year-old Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

The crashed helicopter was carrying President Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and six other passengers and the funeral ceremonies completed. Raisi was buried in Mashhad as thousands mourners thronged Iranian holy city. Iran’s Supreme leader had led prayers at Tehran University on Tue. 21st of May with the caskets carrying the dead body of Raisi draped in Iranian flags.

After his death, the vice president, Mohammad Mokhber, is presently serving as interim president until Iran’s election in June this year.
