Police exhume remains of pregnant girl murdered by boyfriend in Rivers

Those in relationship must be very sure of the kind of partner they have. Killing and singlehandedly burying one’s girlfriend is now trying to become the new dimension of this dastard and inhuman act of murder.
Rivers State Police command has exhumed the remains of Better Nwabueze, a pregnant lady who was killed and buried by her boyfriend in Rivers community.
The suspect, Prince Owabie was said to have killed and buried his pregnant lover on Sunday, after she allegedly refused to abort the baby in his bedroom in Rumuepirikom community, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state.

Prince was arrested by the police operatives after they were informed by his (suspect’s) friends of the development.
Meanwhile, the State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Nnamdi Omoni, yesterday said the remains of the victim have been exhumed from the bedroom where it was buried.
Omoni noted that the corpse of the victim has been taken to mortuary, adding that autopsy would be conducted on the remains.
Omoni also disclosed that the State Criminal Investigation Department, has commenced investigation in the incident, adding that justice must be served.
Omoni said the command has pacified the family of the victim to ensure that there is no further breakdown of law and order, stating that peace has been maintained in Rumuepirikom.
He said: “We have exhumed the remains of the girl for autopsy. The boyfriend who killed her has confessed to the crime.
“The State CID has commenced investigation. We will ensure justice in this matter. We have approached the family of the girl to cushion negative reactions and that sanity is restored.”
