Psalms 112:1-10

NLT: Praise the Lord! Happy are those who fear the Lord. Yes, happy are those who delight in doing what he commands.
WEB: Praise Yah! Blessed is the man who fears Yahweh, who delights greatly in his commandments.

NLT: Their children will be successful everywhere; an entire generation of godly people will be blessed.
WEB: His seed will be mighty in the land. The generation of the upright will be blessed.

NLT: They themselves will be wealthy, and their good deeds will never be forgotten.
WEB: Wealth and riches are in his house. His righteousness endures forever.

NLT: When darkness overtakes the godly, light will come bursting in. They are generous, compassionate, and righteous.
WEB: Light dawns in the darkness for the upright, gracious, merciful, and righteous.

NLT: All goes well for those who are generous, who lend freely and conduct their business fairly.
WEB: It is well with the man who deals graciously and lends. He will maintain his cause in judgment.

NLT: Such people will not be overcome by evil circumstances. Those who are righteous will be long remembered.
WEB: For he will never be shaken. The righteous will be remembered forever.

NLT: They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the Lord to care for them.
WEB: He will not be afraid of evil news. His heart is steadfast, trusting in Yahweh.

NLT: They are confident and fearless and can face their foes triumphantly.
WEB: His heart is established. He will not be afraid in the end when he sees his adversaries.

NLT: They give generously to those in need. Their good deeds will never be forgotten. They will have influence and honor.
WEB: He has dispersed, he has given to the poor. His righteousness endures forever. His horn will be exalted with honor.

NLT: The wicked will be infuriated when they see this. They will grind their teeth in anger; they will slink away, their hopes thwarted.
WEB: The wicked will see it, and be grieved. He shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away. The desire of the wicked will perish.
